My dream invites

I was going to make another invite inspiration board, but these deserve their own post (because getting a post on my blog is such an honor).

I scooped these up from the Paper Shop Ink blog, where the designer, 9spotmonk, made a sneak peak post. Unfortunately, 9spotmonk's Web site says it hasn't launched its wedding invitation line.

According to the post, the invites are printed on 100 percent recycled chipboard, and the envelopes are 100 percent cotton. Stunning!

View bigger verisons (the detail is amazing!) here, here and here.

Sadly ... I don't even need to view the pricing to know these are going to be expensive. But seriously, how freaking beautiful/cool/awesome are they?

  1. Celeste! I am so excited for you!

Have you checked out The Paper Studio in Tempe? I'm not sure if they do full printing for invites, but they make their own paper by hand - so you can special order any type of paper you want. Most of their papers are made from 100% cotton, but there are many other fibers that they can use (including some leaves and burlap and yucca and even celery!) - and the combinations can be phenomenal.

Also, I've worked with Santa Barbara catering many times for my job, and they are really great! They work really hard and make things run smoothly, the only thing that I don't love about them is how rigid they sometimes become. If any of your guests might have food allergies, you need to warn these people way in advance! (I once worked a bar mitzvah where they didn't provide Kosker children's meals because no one had warned them...)

  2. Anna -- thank you sooo much! I didn't even know if it was worth it to go to some of the local shops (I haven't heard from anyone if they're any good). But this is great to know. I used to pass by The Paper Studio alll the time, so I will definitely check it out (probably today!).

I'm also happy to hear some good feedback about Santa Barbara. They seem very widely used, so I figured that was probably a good thing. We just secured our date, so the next thing will be meeting with SB to set up the menu, etc. I'll let you know how it goes!

P.S. - How is France?! Amazing?!
